🧮 Wyckoff Market Health Dashboard

Market Health Score: 50

The Market Health Dashboard improved modestly this week despite continued weakness in the major indexes, suggesting market internals remain more resilient than headline prices alone would indicate.

  • Health: Neutral / Improving
  • Execution: Moderate
  • Trend: Range / Mixed
  • Confirmation: Strong
  • Condition: Stabilizing / Improving
  • Cluster: Transition
  • Regime: Transition / Selective Bullish

Although the broad market remains corrective, improving internal conditions and stronger confirmation continue supporting the idea that institutional money is rotating rather than exiting the market altogether. Leadership remains concentrated in select sectors, reinforcing the importance of disciplined stock and sector selection.

🌍 Macro Market Backdrop

Institutional rotation continues to dominate the market landscape as broad indexes remain under pressure while select sectors continue outperforming. Higher interest rates, a strengthening U.S. Dollar, and leadership concentrated in defensive and energy-related sectors continue defining the macro backdrop. We continue viewing this as a selective market rather than a broad bullish environment.

🧭 Market Overview (SPY / QQQ)

SPY continued its corrective phase during the week with another modest decline. Price continues struggling to regain momentum, reinforcing our view that this remains an ongoing correction rather than a healthy consolidation before new highs. We continue expecting additional weakness before a more meaningful buying opportunity develops.

QQQ experienced another disappointing week, closing at its lowest level in more than ten weeks. Technology leadership has deteriorated noticeably as institutional participation has narrowed. Until stronger accumulation characteristics begin appearing, we continue maintaining a cautious outlook.

🏦 Interest Rates & Defensive Assets (TLT)

TLT continued stair-stepping lower exactly as expected. The larger trend remains firmly bearish, supporting our long-standing outlook for higher interest rates. Unless price can reclaim meaningful resistance, we continue expecting lower bond prices over the intermediate term.

⛏️ Gold / Hard Assets (GDX)

Gold miners finally managed a relief rally after several weeks of persistent weakness. While we’ve been looking for an intermediate-term low, current price action is still not convincing enough to declare one complete. We continue expecting some additional volatility and sloppy trading before a more durable bottom develops.

⚡ Energy Sector (XLE)

Energy posted another strong week and continues demonstrating outstanding relative strength. XLE has firmly established itself as one of the market’s leadership groups, outperforming many major sectors during this corrective period. We remain long and continue expecting significantly higher prices over the longer term.

₿ Crypto Market Overview (BTC / ETH)

Bitcoin traded essentially sideways during the week while institutional participation remained relatively quiet. However, our Wyckoff Alert Engine has recently generated multiple Backup (BU) signals over the past several trading sessions, suggesting accumulation could be quietly developing. While we are not yet receiving full confirmation, this is one of the more encouraging developments we’ve seen in recent weeks.

Ethereum mirrored Bitcoin’s consolidation while also generating recent Backup signals from our Wyckoff Alert Engine. The structure continues improving, but confirmation remains incomplete. We will be watching both Bitcoin and Ethereum closely for additional institutional evidence before becoming more aggressive.

🔄 Rotational & Thematic Notes

Improving Sectors

  • Energy (XLE)
  • Real Estate (XLRE)
  • Utilities (XLU)

Weakening Sectors

  • Technology Leadership
  • Broad Growth Stocks
  • Long Duration Assets

Institutional Leadership

  • Energy (XLE)
  • Real Estate (XLRE)
  • Utilities (XLU)

🧠 Tactical Outlook

We continue expecting additional weakness in the broader equity market while maintaining confidence in our longer-term macro themes. Higher interest rates, a stronger U.S. Dollar, and continued Energy leadership remain our highest-conviction ideas. Precious metals may require additional time before establishing a durable low, while Bitcoin and Ethereum are becoming increasingly interesting as recent Wyckoff Backup signals suggest institutional accumulation may be quietly beginning.

👉 What We’re Watching Now

  • Does SPY continue extending its correction?
  • Can QQQ stabilize after making new ten-week lows?
  • Will TLT continue confirming the higher-rate environment?
  • Does the U.S. Dollar resume its larger advance?
  • Can GDX convert its recent bounce into a durable intermediate low?
  • Will the recent Bitcoin and Ethereum Backup signals develop into full accumulation?
  • Do XLE, XLRE, and XLU continue expanding institutional leadership?
