XLEBullishStrong week and continued leadership. We remain long and look for higher.

🧮 Wyckoff Market Health Dashboard

Market Health Score: 52

  • Health: Neutral / Improving
  • Execution: Moderate
  • Trend: Range / Mixed
  • Confirmation: Strong
  • Condition: Stabilizing / Improving
  • Cluster: Transition
  • Regime: Transition / Selective Bullish

Market health improved this week, but the mixed trend and moderate execution reading continue to argue for selectivity. The environment has improved enough to participate, but not enough to abandon disciplined risk management.

🌍 Macro Market Backdrop

Stocks continued the rally from the previous week, with SPY reaching new highs after the bullish price/volume divergence we highlighted two weeks ago. The question now is whether much of that upside has been spent and another corrective phase is beginning.

Bonds remain weak, the Dollar continues probing for a low, precious metals have rallied sharply, and Energy remains one of our strongest areas.

🧭 Market Overview (SPY / QQQ)

SPY continued higher and reached new highs. The bullish price/volume divergence we discussed two weeks ago provided the fuel for the advance. We are now watching closely to see whether the rally has run its course and another correction develops.

QQQ also rallied but remains relatively weaker than SPY. We expect continued backing and filling and remain cautious about chasing strength here.

🏦 Interest Rates & Defensive Assets (TLT)

TLT continues trading on the defensive. We remain short and continue looking for lower prices as concerns surrounding inflation and global interest rates remain elevated.

⛏️ Gold / Hard Assets (GDX)

Precious metals have rallied sharply over the last two weeks. We had been looking for a low but never received the entry we wanted. We will stand aside rather than chase, especially with our expectation for a stronger Dollar and continued pressure from higher interest rates.

⚡ Energy Sector (XLE)

XLE had another strong week and continues behaving as expected. We remain long and continue looking for higher prices. Energy remains one of our preferred longer-term areas.

₿ Crypto Market Overview (BTC / ETH)

Bitcoin was lower last week and continues trading defensively. We remain on the sidelines while waiting for a low-risk, high-confidence entry.

Ethereum continues holding above its recent lows but remains within a larger trading range. We are waiting for stronger confirmation before becoming aggressive.

🔄 Rotational & Thematic Notes

Improving sector leadership:

  • XLE — Energy
  • ITA — Aerospace/Defense

Current sector leadership:

  • GDX — Gold Miners
  • IGV — Software
  • ARKK — Innovation / Growth

Despite GDX’s recent leadership, we are not chasing the sharp precious-metals rally. Energy also continues showing strong relative performance and remains one of our preferred longer-term positions.

🧠 Tactical Outlook

We remain selectively bullish while watching closely for signs that the recent rally has become extended. SPY has reached new highs, but QQQ’s relative weakness deserves attention.

We continue favoring Energy, remain bearish on TLT, are watching for a Dollar low, and remain patient in precious metals and crypto.

👉 What We’re Watching Now

  • Can SPY hold its new highs?
  • Does QQQ continue lagging SPY?
  • Does another stock-market correction begin?
  • Will TLT continue lower?
  • Is the U.S. Dollar forming a low?
  • Does GDX hold its recent rally?
  • Can XLE continue its leadership?
  • Will Bitcoin finally provide a low-risk entry?
