🧮 Wyckoff Market Health Dashboard
Market Health Score: 47
This week’s dashboard deteriorated further, reflecting a market becoming increasingly defensive.
- Health: Weakening
- Execution: Moderate
- Trend: Range / Mixed
- Confirmation: Mixed
- Condition: Weakening
- Cluster: Transition
- Regime: Defensive / Weakening
While the major indexes have not experienced a sharp breakdown, the internal deterioration continues to support a more defensive posture. Mixed confirmation and weakening conditions suggest institutional participation remains selective, while the lower Market Health Score reinforces our cautious outlook until market internals begin improving.
🌍 Macro Market Backdrop
The market finally began showing broader weakness as institutional money continued rotating beneath the surface. Defensive characteristics expanded while leadership narrowed, supporting our belief that the market remains in a corrective environment. Higher interest rates, a stronger Dollar outlook, and continued sector rotation remain the dominant macro themes.
🧭 Market Overview (SPY / QQQ)
SPY weakened during the week, behaving largely as we expected following several weeks of sideways consolidation. We continue viewing this as an ongoing correction rather than the beginning of another broad markup phase. Until institutional participation improves, we continue expecting additional weakness.

QQQ also weakened during the week as technology finally began losing momentum. While longer-term leadership has not completely disappeared, recent price action suggests institutional buying has become much more selective. We continue favoring patience until stronger confirmation develops.

🏦 Interest Rates & Defensive Assets (TLT)
TLT posted a modest gain during the week as investors briefly rotated toward defensive assets. Despite the short-term bounce, we continue believing the larger trend remains lower and continue expecting higher interest rates over time. Our outlook remains bearish for bonds.

⛏️ Gold / Hard Assets (GDX)
Gold miners continued weakening exactly as we’ve anticipated over recent weeks. While the decline has become extended, we still see no meaningful evidence that an intermediate-term low has formed. Until institutional accumulation begins appearing, we continue expecting lower prices overall.

⚡ Energy Sector (XLE)
Energy was one of the stronger areas of the market this week, posting another solid advance despite broader market weakness. Relative strength continues improving, reinforcing our longer-term bullish outlook. We remain long and continue expecting substantially higher prices over time.

₿ Crypto Market Overview (BTC / ETH)
Bitcoin finished slightly higher during the week but continued trading within a relatively tight consolidation range. Our institutional indicators remain neutral and have not yet aligned to produce the type of low-risk entry we prefer. For now, we continue expecting additional sideways price action while monitoring for improving accumulation characteristics.

Ethereum also stabilized during the week but continues lacking convincing institutional sponsorship. Relative performance has improved modestly, yet confirmation remains incomplete. We continue waiting patiently for stronger evidence before initiating new positions.
